Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Nithish Kumar N G, a sole proprietor trading as KneXus ("KneXus", "we", "us", "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit knexus.co.in or use our Mentorship service (together, the "Service").

By registering for an account or using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us directly:

  • Account details: name, email address, mobile number, and password (we store only a one-way cryptographic hash of your password, never the password itself).
  • Course details: your course level (CA Intermediate or CA Final).
  • Enrollment details: your batch/group and exam attempt selection, and any coupon code you apply at checkout.
  • Study data you choose to record: subjects, chapters, concepts, and hours you log in your Classes/Revision progress tracker.

Information generated when you use the Service:

  • One-time passwords (OTPs) sent to verify your email and mobile number during registration and login.
  • Payment records: the enrollment amount, any discount applied, and the payment reference (order ID, payment ID, and signature) returned by our payment processor, Razorpay, once a payment is completed. We do not collect or store your card, UPI, or bank account details ourselves — Razorpay handles and stores that information under its own security standards.
  • Mentorship session details: when a mentor schedules a 1:1 session with you, the date, time, and topic are recorded, and (see Section 3) a calendar invite is created for you via Google Calendar.
  • Support and chat messages you exchange with your mentor or our team through the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and operate your account and Mentorship enrollment.
  • To verify your identity via OTP at registration and login.
  • To process payments and send you a payment confirmation/receipt.
  • To schedule mentor sessions and send you calendar invites and reminders.
  • To track and display your study progress back to you and your mentor.
  • To respond to support requests and communicate service-related updates.
  • To maintain the security, integrity, and proper functioning of the Service.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.

3. Third Parties We Share Data With

We share the minimum data necessary with the following service providers so the Service can function. Each operates under its own privacy policy, and some may process data on servers outside India:

  • Resend — delivers transactional emails (OTP codes, payment receipts). Receives your email address and the content of that email.
  • MSG91 — delivers OTP codes by SMS. Receives your mobile number and the OTP message.
  • Razorpay — processes your payment. Receives your email, the enrollment amount, and course/attempt details attached to the order; handles your card/UPI/bank details directly under its own PCI-DSS-compliant systems, which we never see.
  • Google Calendar — only if you are enrolled in Mentorship and a mentor schedules a session with you: your name and email are added as an event attendee on your mentor's Google Calendar so a Google Meet invite can be sent to you. This uses your mentor's own Google account, not a shared company account.

We may also keep encrypted backups of our database with a cloud storage provider for disaster-recovery purposes. These backups are access-controlled and are not used for any purpose other than restoring the Service if needed.

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta/Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party analytics or advertising tracker on this website today. See our Cookies Policy for details.

We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of KneXus, our users, or others.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account, enrollment, and progress-tracker data for as long as your account remains active and as necessary to comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Backup copies of our database may persist for a limited additional period after deletion for disaster-recovery purposes before being permanently purged.

5. Your Rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and other applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request erasure of your personal data, subject to our legal/regulatory retention obligations (e.g. payment records).
  • Withdraw consent to processing, understanding that this may mean we can no longer provide the Service to you.
  • Raise a grievance about how we have handled your personal data.

You can download a copy of your data, or delete your account yourself, from Account Settings once logged in. Self-service deletion erases your name, email, mobile number, and progress-tracker data immediately; it isn't available while you have an active Mentorship enrollment, since we're required to retain payment records -- in that case, or for any other request under the rights above, write to us at nithishnara02@gmail.com from your registered email address, and we will act on your request within a reasonable time, and in any case within the timelines required by applicable law.

6. Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your information, including one-way password hashing, HTTPS encryption in transit, and access controls on our systems. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for CA Intermediate and CA Final aspirants and is not directed at children under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data without appropriate consent, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
